Schools are creating incredible quilts. This school's parent organization ordered quilt squares during their regular school fundraiser program for each student. Volunteers designed and created a quilt honoring each class. The finale was an "end of the year" QUILT AUCTION where invited guests and families bid on the quilts at an evening event that included a light supper. Table decorations added a special touch to make it an evening to remember. In addition to the regular fundraiser profit this school made during a fall program, the end of the year brought in thousands more dollars by hosting this creative event! THANKS to wonderful volunteers for donated time and enthusiasm to make this so successful. You really should try this at your school! Excitement was "over the top"!
Our quilt consists of 163 squares and was sewn together by our librarian, Mrs. Bastarache. We had a huge bare wall in the media center that needed color and she came up with the idea. WE LOVE IT and plan to do it again next year! We also ran the free product program fundraiser too which was a great success too!
Dawn wanted to make something special for her child's classroom teacher so she created and assembled this special quilt to present to the teacher. Needless to say, it will be treasured for years to come.
