Printable ART REQUIREMENTS

Printable SIGNATURE TEMPLATE

USE BARCODE PAPER PROVIDED BY S1A. 

Use one BARCODE sheet of paper artwork.  Paper cannot be used again for future program or for another school because barcode is unique for each artist, school and program season.  Think green and recycle unused.

FILL OUT ARTIST IDENTIFICATION. 

PRINT information in black or blue ink. (No cursive)  Do not allow young children to fill out this information.  Correct spelling on personalized catalogs depends on legible and accurate information.  If using your own preprinted ID labels, affix to header section.  Do not cover or write over barcode. 

CREATE ARTWORK.  IMPORTANT!  PICTURE DETAILS, SIGNATURES, DATES

Keep themes simple and FILL THE SPACE with vivid, bold colors and backgrounds.

Keep picture centered in the space with less important background details at the edges.

Write signature and/or date 1" from the edges OR well within the body of the picture.  Use Signature Template document profived to ensure proper placement. (No guidelines around edges)

Borders, IF colored, can be solid or designs and should be 1" thick. (No words in borders)

NOTE:  Slight cropping occurs during product printing.  Special details or text will be partially or completely missing from finished product printing if important directions are ignored.

FINISHING TOUCHES
Check artist identification to make sure information is correct and legible for Square 1 Art.  Use a fine-tipped marker to overwrite and correct unclear information.

Erase unwanted marks, pencil marks and smudges.

Recolor or repaint lightly colored areas.  Light artwork will not reproduce well.

Skin tones must be heavily covered and opaque as possible.

Paper collage:  Trim away excess paper that hangs over the edges.
